About Knockout
Knockout Online Games is a place to play games with the people you would play them with at a kitchen table, whether you are at the same table or not. Pick a game, start a room, and send the link. Everyone joins from a phone or laptop, and nobody has to install anything.
How it works
- Rooms by link. Starting a game makes a room with its own link. Anyone with the link can join.
- Bots fill the gaps. Short on players? Add computer players to any open seat, or play solo against them.
- No sign-up for solo games, dailies and bots. Your browser remembers you with a random token, and you pick a display name when you sit down. Friends, parties and games with other people need a saved player (a username and a PIN or password), free and quick to make. You must be 13 or older to make one. See the privacy page for exactly what is kept.
- Rooms clean up after themselves. A room is deleted automatically after it sits unused: within a few hours once a game is over, and at most 48 hours after the last move or message.
- Game night on the TV. Put a party or sports game on a TV or laptop and everyone plays from their own phone, no app needed.
- Free, with no ads. There is nothing to buy, and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
The games
There are 303 games so far: strategy and classic board games, card games and solitaire, party games for game night, dice and word games, daily puzzles, arcade, action, and sports. Each one is an original design with its own name, art, and rules text. Some are public-domain classics like chess, checkers, and backgammon. Where the site mentions a well-known game, it is only to say how one of ours plays. Those names belong to their owners, who are not affiliated with this site.
